McLaren F1是一款跑车,是英国F1车队McLaren制造的首款获得类型批准的公路用车。它是最后一款在24小时勒芒赛事中整体获胜的合法上路、批量生产的跑车,同时也被公认为发布时世界上最快的“量产车”。首席技术设计师Gordon Murray的原始构想说服了时任McLaren负责人Ron Dennis,支持McLaren进军公路跑车制造领域。汽车设计师Peter Stevens受聘负责该车的外观和内饰设计。

为制造F1,McLaren Cars(现McLaren Automotive)成立;并与BMW签约,由其开发并制造专用于F1的BMW S70/2 V12发动机。该车拥有众多专有设计和技术。作为首批采用全碳纤维单体壳车身和底盘结构的跑车之一,尽管F1设有三个成人座位,它仍比许多后来的竞争对手更轻、更符合空气动力学。其非常规的座椅布局——驾驶员座椅位于前部中央,两个乘客座椅(位于驾驶员左右两侧)——为驾驶员提供了更好的视野。Murray构想F1是打造“终极公路跑车”的实践,秉承了Bruce McLaren对M6 GT的原始计划精神。

生产始于1992年,于1998年结束;总共制造了106辆车,设计上有一些差异。尽管最初并非设计为赛车,但经过改装的赛车版本赢得了多场比赛,包括1995年的24小时勒芒赛事。

1998年3月31日,配备改装转速限制器的XP5原型车创造了吉尼斯世界纪录,成为世界上最快的量产车,达到240.1英里/小时(386.4公里/小时),超越了Jaguar XJ220在1992年通过提高转速限制并移除催化转化器所创下的217.1英里/小时(349.4公里/小时)的纪录。
