Range Rover 是一款 4x4 中型越野车系列,生产于 1970 年至 1996 年——最初由 British Leyland 旗下的 Rover(后为 Land Rover)部门生产,后期则由 Rover Group 负责。

作为以 Range Rover 名称生产的第一代车型,它在最初的 11 年里仅提供双门版本,直到 1981 年才推出四门版本。随后,Range Rover 在 1980 年代成功进军高端市场,并且引人注目地以一款已有 17 年历史的车型身份,于 1987 年洛杉矶车展上在美国首次亮相。

双门版本的供应从 1984 年起受到限制,但它仍在部分市场生产直至 1994 年第二代车型推出。从那时起,Land Rover 将初代车型重新命名为 Range Rover Classic,以区别于其新的 P38A 后继车型——当时两者曾短暂并线生产——并将此名称追溯应用于所有第一代 Range Rover。

尽管在形式上已被 1994 年开始生产的第二代 Range Rover 取代,但其后继车型以及更经济实惠的第一代和第二代 Land Rover Discovery,在很大程度上都基于初代 Range Rover 的底盘、传动系统和车身结构,这种本质上的延续一直持续到第三代 Discovery 问世,其机械血脉最终在 2004 年 Mark 2 Discovery 被替换后终结。

2020 年初,初代 Range Rover 长达 26 年的生产历程被《Autocar》杂志评为历史上第二十七长寿的单一世代车型。
